Acer Notebook

Am getting ready to get a new notebook. Have had a Toshiba, Dell, and Gareway for the last five years . Saw a excert on The Today Show last week. They were talking to a Conusmer Expert that were talking about the name brands getting such high prices versus items that were not so main stream, He stated that the Acer brand at one time made most of the parts for a lot of the other Computer makers. He also said for the money he wouldn't hesitate to buy the Acer brand.That you get much more and about 30% cheaper. Anyone know this brand?:think2:

They are well known crap-makers. I would say that "a lot of the other Computer makers" is quite exaggeration but they manufactured a lot of crap for Dell, the well known crap-seller. Stay away. The lesser known decent brand that was sold under better known brands is Averatec.
